OKOndt GROUP participated in the MRO Middle East & Aircraft Interiors Middle East 2026 aviation exhibition in the United Arab Emirates

Throughout the exhibition, the OKOndt GROUP stand was one of the most popular: representatives of MRO (maintenance, repair and overhaul) enterprises in the aviation industry familiarised themselves with the company’s technologies, discussed practical cases and received consultations from design engineers.

OKOndt GROUP Solutions for the Aviation Industry: Precision and Reliability Technologies

The stand showcased key developments by OKOndt GROUP for detecting defects in aircraft components.

Particular interest was generated by the demonstration of the SMARTSCAN-FA system, which is an automated flaw detector designed to detect cracks and other defects in aircraft wheels.

  • automated eddy current inspection;
  • compliance with the international standard ISO 15548-1, 'Non-destructive testing equipment for eddy current testing — Part 1: Instrument characteristics and verification';
  • designed for inspecting aircraft wheel discs of various sizes;
  • effective detection of surface defects;
  • high inspection speed and repeatability of results.

The SMARTSCAN-FA system has been developed in accordance with aviation MRO regulations, performing inspections in line with the requirements of leading global wheel manufacturers such as Safran Landing Systems, Goodrich, Honeywell and Meggitt.

Visitors to the stand could also observe the operation of the portable EDDYCON CL eddy current flaw detector, which is widely used in aircraft maintenance and repair.

The instrument demonstrated a high level of operational convenience when carrying out various inspection tasks.

The EDDYCON CL is included in the Aviation Testing Kit. This is a ready-to-use solution for aviation MRO applications. It comprises:

  • an EDDYCON C or EDDYCON CL eddy current flaw detector;
  • an SVR-04 or SVR-05 rotating bolthole scanner;
  • a set of eddy current probes;
  • a set of specialised accessories.

The Aviation Testing Kit contains equipment that enables the effective detection of cracks in safety-critical aircraft components, in accordance with the non-destructive testing technical requirements of Airbus, Boeing and other manufacturers.

Cooperation with the Official Distributor in the UAE, Arabcal

Throughout the exhibition, a joint team comprising OKOndt GROUP and Arabian Calibration Dev Rep Co LLC (Arabcal), the official OKOndt GROUP distributor in the UAE, was present at the stand.

The coordinated work of the international team ensured a high level of professional support for visitors to the stand: guests received comprehensive technical consultations and discussed the practical application of the equipment, as well as promptly selecting solutions tailored to specific customer requirements.

Professional dialogue focused on real production challenges, ranging from the inspection of safety-critical components to the optimisation of MRO flaw detection in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements.
